Sidmouth Folk Week is held at the beginning of August. During the festival, the seaside town of Sidmouth is taken over by huge, joyful and happy crowds.

There is always something going on and Sidmouth Folk Week is a week long celebration of music, concerts, dancing, pub sessions, making friends, story telling and enjoying late eveings on the beach or campsite with friends.

For those who have never been to Sidmouth Folk week, you are missing out on a week of huge choice with a friendly atmosphere and is a event you have to experience at least once.

You can either attend Sidmouth Folk Week as a visitor or as a steward but either way you will enjoy the festival.

Where can I stay?

Special arrangementsĀ  are made during Sidmouth Folk week. Campsites are opened on the outskirts of Sidmouth, not far from the beach, with a special bus service for the festival. You can also stay in many of the Bed and Breakfasts or Hotels in the area for which some can be found here.

Please note that Sidmouth is very busy during Sidmouth Folk week and as a result, hotels, Bed and Breakfasts, Guesthouses and Tourist Accomodation fill up fast so booking early is advisable.
